HEAR US O LORD!

Great and Mighty God!
God of wonders!
Wonderful wonder!
Great! Great and Mighty God!

Thank you for the battles you fought for us yesterday
Thank you for the life you have given us today
Thank you for the hope you have given us for tomorrow
Thank you for the plans you have for our future

Lord, nothing can stop us
No one can limit the potentials in us
No situation can obstruct the future you have prepared for us
Lord, we believe we are unstoppable

Hear us o Lord
When the evil one tries to make us see evil
Hear us o Lord
When the enemies want to pull us away from our root

Hear us o Lord
When fear grips us like a Nigerian Police Man holding a criminal
Hear us o Lord
When failure push us towards the destiny you have not arranged for us

Hear us o Lord
When Giants want to suppress us like grasshoppers
Hear us o Lord
When Graveyards open its ugly mouth to swallow us up

Hear us o Lord
When hunger bite and bite and bite the flesh out of us
Hear us o Lord
When hatred is all over us and we are trying to hate back

Hear us when we call on your name
Hear us when we knee to pray
Hear us when we run to you
Hear us when all is blink and dark

Hear us when we are weak and weary
Hear us when we faint and fail
Hear us when we are dry and down
Hear us when we are broke and broken

We believe that our voices will not come up to you in vain
We know that your thought for us are of only the best
We believe that our answers will come speedily to us
We have made this prayer in Jesus Name

AMEN!

FALLEN

Our Land was pure. The grass was green. Our Water was clean. The leaves could cure. We drank from the stream With leaves bridged to the rock as cups. As we laved our body under the heavy drops, Our body needed no cream. We were at peace The Palm wine tasted like honey. The village square was our group chat. Words were strong and laughter from the heart. Love was not bought with money. Our Farms yielded with interest. We had enough to eat and ship. Our eyes are closed when we sleep. We worked, worked and had our rest. We were not at war Our Merchants traveled South, West and North. With products of trade for exchange of coins. Women were married not just for groins. Deals were made, no one was fought. Then came the experts with hats and guns. They took our lands and made us Roomers. They deceived our neighbors and made us brothers. Our rights were taken and we became their puns. We were just neighbours They joined No

HOW THEY ALMOST WASTED MY LIFE IN LAGOS

This thing called life. On this edition of Everyday People I am talking about the story of a young life that would have been carelessly truncated. But God saved his Unique Life. Yes! This Life is Unique! It is Unique because of you. There is no other you. No where in this whole life. Yes Uniqueness. That’s what I am talking about? What makes a life unique is what the individual is. What attracts people or a market to you is that niche that distinguishes you from others. What is your unique selling point (USP)? There must be something you should be known for. I don’t know what it is but you have to think about it and create that uniqueness for yourself. What are you ready to be known for? What did Jesus die for? What did the apostles of old die for? What did Martin Luther die for? What did Ghandi die for? What did Idahosa die for? What is Adeboye living for? What does Oyedepo exist for? What is Kumuyi preaching for? The list is endless. What is Dr. Omalu sacrificing for

TO BE A FATHER

They didn’t tell me That the journey will be this far They never informed me That the heart will always be kept ajar They didn’t tell me That the shoulders will grow bigger They failed to inform me That the back will get sturdier They didn’t tell me That grown infants will call me daddy They refused to brief me That I will wipe away tears with candy They didn’t tell me That Children are not just from biological conclusion They should have told me That Fathers are made from logical submission They didn’t tell me That I will think more of other people’s needs They should have informed me That my moment of weakness will not only affect my seeds They didn’t tell me That I should be made of blocks and bricks They didn’t educate me That my bones should be strong and tick They didn’t tell me That my money will be used to buy me gifts They didn’t enlighten me That on this day I will still take them out They didn’t tell
